DESCRIPTION:The Mill Community Hub Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 12th February 2024. The AGM will begin at 6pm at the Village Annex and the monthly meeting will follow on from there.  \n\n\n\nThe Mill Community Hub Board of Trustees is made up of 10 individuals from across the 2 villages who have an interest in creating a sustainable community hub. As has been widely advertised over the past year there has been a shift in strategic direction for the board due to decreasing funding opportunities. Our immediate focus is to build a functioning car park to support the community facility & school and re-generate the current village annex.  \n\n\n\nThe board meets approx 11 months of the year typically on a Monday evening from 6pm. SUMMARY:Chilean Wine Tasting
DESCRIPTION:Taking place on Saturday 3 June at the Village Hall Annex\, the next village wine tasting event sees us heading west to the Pacific coast of South America\, to sample the wines of Chile.  \n\n\n\nPrevious wine tastings covering Spain\, Italy\, the Loire Valley and South Africa have raised an amazing £3\,054.74 for The Mill project\, making these wine events the single largest contributor to Hub fundraising since they began in 2021.  \n\n\n\nTickets are £25 each to include wine and Chilean based food snacks. SUMMARY:French wine tasting
DESCRIPTION:A fourth wine tasting event took place at the Village Hall Annex on Saturday 22nd October with our village ‘Wine Buff’ Brian Redshaw\, this time sampling the delights of the Loire Valley\, France\, with hors d’oeuvres provided by Del Robertson and Glynn Lowe. \n\n\n\nIt was yet another well received and enjoyable evening with a ‘full house’ and the addition of raffle prizes kindly donated by Blackthorn Café; The Falcon Hotel\, Uppingham; Marks and Spencer\, Corby and generous villagers alike. Added fun for the night was taking a chance on a ‘Bottle in a Bag’ – a gamble of winning either water or alcoholic delights! \n\n\n\nThe event raised a fabulous £660.40\, with all proceeds going toward The Mill Community Hub project. \n\n\n\nThank you to everyone who attended and gave support on the night.
